Not long after The Reagan Boggs band, Greg Smith introduced me to Jared Bentley – an amazing vocalist/musician and front man for the former band called Yukon.

Greg and Jared were contemplating reuniting their old jam band Clear that was popular in the late nineties in around Bristol. The original band featured Jared, Greg, Lance McCloud and Willie Simpson among others.

The guys invited me to prepare for fall performances and Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion in 2006. Our rehearsals were a lot of fun and it was one of the first times where I found myself absorbed in a jam band playing songs from The Grateful Dead, Wide Spread Panic and Phish. They had a terrific sense of humor and chemistry reliving some of the stories from the past and together, we performed several performances during the 12 months of the union including shows at Halo, Bristol Rhythm and Roots, Damascus Old Mill, The Vinyard, State Line Bar and Grill and others.

The shows were great fun too as we attracted several old friends of the band who came out to relive some memories.

Our rehearsals were in the basement of Willie’s house in Bristol, VA. He was an officer for the Police Department and his schedule and a new baby began to overwhelm this terrific drummer and friend and by the early part of 2007. The band was beginning to run out of gas and morphed into another band called Slow Motion Trio.

Below is a discography of this band featuring live recordings from our performances. These samples are recorded directly from the mixing console on to small digital recorders and immediately processed into Mp3s and available to download and will play on most any digital player.
