It’s difficult to convey the pride in my brother Keith Cate who has forged an amazing career as a television reporter. We’re both media junkies (although I do kid him about the intellectual medium of the printed word), but Keith has logged an impressive portfolio of interviews over the years including sit-downs with Sarah Palin, Joe Biden, John McCain and now the Commander in Chief himself Barack Obama.

Over the holidays, Keith and I discussed his visit to the White House where he was invited by the staff to discuss key concerns for Floridians for WFLA – the station where he works in Tampa.

Among topics that include Florida’s unemployment, the economy, health care and Republican leadership, Keith also discussed high speed rail transit proposed for the state.

Keith is always eloquent in his mannerisms and admitted a overwhelming sense of awe sitting in the state rooms at the White House. He commented on Obama’s charming charisma and had plenty of great stories to tell about his travels.

So what’s next bro? I’m thinking a syndicated network show myself. Congrats again for your impressive travels.
